 Amy Mantush

Amy Mantush, a former standout athlete for the Bison, returns to Lewisburg after a two-year stint as a graduate assistant coach at Misericordia, where she earned a master’s degree in organizational leadership. She is in her first season as an assistant coach at Bucknell.

“Amy was a tremendous student-athlete for us and led us to numerous Patriot League titles,” Donner said. “She made the commitment to the world of collegiate coaching, and I have been following her career closely and have been quite impressed.  I believe she will add a lot to our program and our coaching staff.”

Mantush concluded an illustrious four-year career at Bucknell in 2010, when she graduated as a dual major in education and animal behavior. She was a two-year captain for the Bison and earned back-to-back Patriot League Female Field Athlete of the Year honors. She was a 12-time All-Patriot League honoree while competing in the high jump, triple jump, long jump and pentathlon. She still holds Bucknell records in both the indoor and outdoor high jump.

“I am extremely excited to return to Bucknell and work under Coach Donner,” Mantush said. “To be a part of continuing such a successful program is both an honor and a privilege. I am looking forward to wearing blue and orange again.”

In her two years at Misericordia, Mantush spent her time mentoring the jumpers and multi athletes while also serving as the team’s recruiting coordinator and the offseason strength and conditioning coach for the throwers. In her first season with the program, she helped guide Ashlee Ward to indoor and outdoor national titles in the high jump.  The Cougar women won back-to-back Middle Atlantic Conference Indoor and Outdoor titles while Mantush was an assistant coach.

Prior to Misericordia, Mantush spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Allegheny, where she trained the jumpers, hurdlers and multi athletes while also serving as the recruiting coordinator and strength coach for the men’s and women’s cross country teams. During her time in Meadville, Pennsylvania, the Gators won one North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) title in men’s cross country and had three All-NCAC champions in the high jump and triple jump.

Mantush received her USATF Coaching Education Level I Certification in 2010. In addition to her collegiate coaching positions, she has gained experience as a camp counselor at Shippensburg, Bucknell and Army West Point. She also spent one season as a volunteer coach at Hazleton High School.
