LEWISBURG, Pa. – Following a strong performance at the Mid-Atlantic Regional to qualify for the NCAA Championships, Bucknell women’s cross country senior Kate Scott has been tabbed Fifth Quarter Fresh Bison Athlete of the Week.

Scott became the fifth Bucknell runner and the first since Leanna Nastase in 2006 to qualify for the NCAA Championships. She is also the first Patriot League female runner to earn a bid since 2014.

Scott, a First Team All-Patriot League selection, finished ninth overall in a field of 198 runners, completing the 6k course in 20:45, leading the Patriot League champions to a sixth-place showing among the 28 competing teams.

The NCAA Championships are set for Saturday (Nov. 19) at 11 a.m. at LaVern Gibson Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Indiana.
