Former Bison player Hannah Sunday, a 2016 Bucknell graduate, was named an assistant men’s and women’s water polo coach at her alma mater in January 2017.
The three-time First Team All-CWPA Southern Division selection and a 2016 Honorable Mention All-America honoree, Sunday graduated as the program’s career leader in ejections drawn with nearly 100 more than second-place Valentina Rozas. She owned three of the top four spots on the single-season ejections drawn list when she graduated and only one other player had 90 ejections drawn in a season, and Sunday reached that figure three times during her Bucknell career.
A two-year team captain, Sunday in 2016 led the Bison with a career-high 69 goals. Her 194 career goals rank sixth in school history.
In addition to her numerous all-conference honors, Sunday was named to the All-CWPA Championship Team three times.
This is Sunday’s second coaching position following a stint as an assistant women’s water polo coach at Saint Francis (Pa.) in fall 2016.
A Carlisle, Pennsylvania, native, Sunday graduated from Bucknell with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
