Career: Owns the program's third-best time in the 200 fly (1:49.87) and the sixth-best time in the 400 IM (3:56.83).

2016-17 (Sophomore): Scored 12 points at the Patriot League Championships with a 10th-place finish in the 200 fly and a 13th-place finish in the 400 IM ... competed in nine events during the season (200 back, 50 fly, 100 fly, 200 fly, 200 IM, 400 IM, 100 breast, 200 breast, 200 free) ... nine top-five finishes in individual events ... took second in the 200 fly in meets against Boston University and Loyola.

2015-16 (Freshman): Scored 26 points at the Patriot League Championships, finishing sixth in both the 200 fly and 400 IM with season-best times ... competed at the ECAC Championships, where he took 15th in the 200 IM and 26th in the 100 fly with season-best times ... competed in eight different events during the season (50 back, 200 back, 100 fly, 200 fly, 100 IM, 200 IM, 400 IM, 200 breast) ... had 13 top-five finishes, including three runner-up showings.

High School: Four-year swimming letterwinner at Cranbrook Kingswood Schools … team captain as a senior … Honorable Mention All-State … 11-time all-state selection … three-time All-American … two-time individual state champion … three-time relay state champion … MHSAA state record holder in 200 IM, 400 free relay and 200 medley relay … named Division 3 state meet Swimmer of the Year … named Academic All-State and Academic All-America … won MVP award two times … helped lead team to four league championship titles, state championship titles in 2014 and 2015, and state runner-up in 2013 … also competed with Motor City Aquatics … was state title at 2014 LCM championships … NCSA Junior National qualifier in 400 IM in 2014 and 2015 …  in 2014, qualified for Speedo Winter Junior National Championships … named USA Scholastic All-American in 2014 … member of the Cum Laude society.

Personal: Mitchell William Buccalo … born May 27, 1997 in Huntington Woods, Michigan … son of Bill and Julie Buccalo … has one sister, Nicole, who attends University of Michigan … cousin, Camille Wright, was a 1976 silver medalist on the U.S. Olympic Swimming Team ... majoring in chemical engineering.
