LEWISBURG, Pa. – Freshman Rade Joksimovic followed his eight-goal performance from Friday night’s win over Salem International with four more goals Saturday as the Bison men’s water polo team defeated Washington & Jefferson 18-6 on the second day of the Bison Invitational to improve to 4-1 on the season, its best start since 2013. Jeff Hagen equaled Joksimovic for team-high honors with four goals of his own.

Bucknell (4-1), which is ranked 15th nationally, improved to 18-0 all-time against the Presidents with another dominating performance. The Bison led 5-2 at the conclusion of the first quarter and proceeded to limit Washington & Jefferson to just one goal over the next two quarters as their lead ballooned to as many as 13 goals. Bucknell outscored the Presidents 10-1 in the middle two quarters and are now outscoring opponents 42-14 over its first two games at the Bison Invitational.

Thanks to his four goals on Saturday, Joksimovic now has a team-high 22 scores on the year. Ten different Bison scored goals in the win with Nate Hunter and Sean Daley adding two goals apiece. Daley also posted two assists.

Charlie Niehaus played the first three quarters in goal for Bucknell and totaled seven saves. Freshman Alex Pullin played the final quarter and registered one stop.

Washington & Jefferson (1-3) was led on the offensive end by three goals from Patrick Fredrick.

Bucknell still has one more game on Saturday as it takes on Mercyhurst at 8:45 p.m. in the last of 10 games at Kinney Natatorium on the day. The Bison Invitational will continue Sunday with nine more games beginning at 8 a.m.
