PRINCETON, N.J. – The Bucknell men’s tennis team recorded wins over a trio of Patriot League players on the second day of Princeton’s Farnsworth Invitational. All three wins came over players from Lehigh, including one in the winner’s draw and two in the consolation draw.
Sophomore Max Haase, the lone Bucknell player not to play his first round match on Thursday, won his opener in the Pagoda Draw (Flight 6) over Lehigh’s Graham Lehman. He dropped his quarterfinal match to Marist’s Carlos Moreno.
In the consolation quarterfinals of the Cordish Draw (Flight 3), sophomore Max McDonald topped the Mountain Hawks’ Tyler Hansen 6-1, 6-2. He improved to 8-2 on the season and will play Army West Point’s Mayson Xue in the consolation semifinals.
Junior Max Kane improved to 7-2 with his 6-3, 5-7, 10-8 victory over Lehigh’s Colin Nardella in the consolation quarterfinals of the Whitman Draw (Flight 4), He will take on NJIT’s Luka Kaic in the consolation semifinals.
Play will resume on Saturday and conclude on Sunday.
