KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. -- The Bucknell women's golf team produced its best score of the week, a final-round 316 on Tuesday as play concluded at the Edwin Watts Kiawah Island Classic. The Bison compiled a 963 total and finished in 39th place among 43 teams in the largest collegiate field in the country. 

Three Bison posted scores in the 70s on Tuesday, led by a 78 from senior Emily LarsonLindsay Dodovich and Anna Dailey both shot 79, and then Katie Childers and Meredith Langs followed with 80s. 

Larson made four birdies in her final round, including two in a row at holes 2 and 3. Two of her four birdies came on par-3s. 

Dodovich shot 75-82-79 over the three-day tournament, and her 236 total was the best on the team. Childers was next at 240, followed by Dailey at 241. 

Coastal Carolina won the tournament with an 870 composite, one stroke better than College of Charleston, which made a late push with a 279 in the final round. Southern Miss finished three strokes off the pace at 873. 

College of Charleston's Laura Fuenfstueck finished at 8-under 208 (70-68-70) to win the individual title by two strokes over Hee Ying Loy of East Tennessee State. Ten players finished the tournament in red numbers, with two others at even par. 

This was Bucknell's first of five spring tournaments, culminating with the Patriot League Championship Apr. 22-23 at Saucon Valley CC. Next up is a return to the state of South Carolina for the Low Country Intercollegiate March 18-19 at Moss Creek GC in Hilton Head.
