LEWISBURG, Pa. -- The Bucknell women's golf team received four scores in the 70s, led by a 6-over-par 76 from freshman Erin Holmes, and finished in second place at the Bucknell Invitational, which concluded Sunday at the Bucknell Golf Club. The Bison's final-round team score of 312 was the best in the field, but it was not enough to overcome Yale's big lead after 36 holes.

Two Bison finished in the top 10 and all five place in the top 17 of the individual standings. Senior Lindsay Dodovich, who shot an even-par 70 in Saturday's second round, was the lone Bison not to post a score in the 70s in round three. She finished with an 80, and her 54-hole total of 232 put her in sixth place.

Freshman Casey Morrow shot her third consecutive 79 to finish in ninth place at 237 total. Holmes' final-round 76 was the fourth-best score in the field, and she tied for 12th place at 243.

Junior Katie Childers closed with a 78 on the heels of 85-81 on Saturday, and she finished 15th. Sophomore Meredith Langs took sole possession of 17th place at 249 after finishing with a 79.

The Bison, who won this event last season, posted team totals of 333-310-312 for a 54-hole composite of 955. Yale claimed the top three individual finishers, led by medalist Jayshree Sarathy (75-78-74), and won the team title with a 909 total.

Niagara (994), Holy Cross (1001), La Salle (1002) and Hampton (1069) rounded out the six-team field.

Bucknell returns to action Sept. 18-19 at the Loyola Chicago Fall Invitational at Flossmoor CC.
