LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Led by a 1-over-par 71 from Peter Bradbeer, the Bucknell men's golf team posted a 291 team score on Saturday and is tied for third place at the halfway point of the Bucknell Invitational. 

Wayne State compiled a 5-over 285 to take a five-shot lead over Saint Francis (Pa.) atop the team standings. Bucknell and Fordham are one behind the Red Flash, and Iona lurks just a single shot behind the Bison and Rams at 292. Fairleigh Dickinson (294), Mnmouth (294), Ottawa (295), Canisius (297) and Humber (301) round out the top 10. 

Bradbeer is tied for eighth place in the individual standings. Wayne State's Brendan Seys leads the field after carding a 2-under 68. His teammate Crawford McKinlay is one of four players at 1-under.

The Bison started the day on the 11th hole, and Bradbeer birdied 12 and 14 to get to 2-under after just four holes. After dropping a few shots, he made back-to-back birdies at 8 and 9 followed by a par at 10 to close the day at 1-over.

Jubal Early also made four birdies, including three in a span of five holes at 1, 4 and 5, and posted a first-round 72. Connor O'Brien started his day with eight straigh pars and finished with a 73, and J.P. Raftery was Bucknell's fourth counter with a 75. Chris Tanabe shook off a tough four-hole stretch with a strong finish -- he was 1-under over is final 10 holes -- and posted a 76. 

Three Bison took the course as individuals, with Ashton Radvansky leading that group with a 75. Jack Gregor shot 79 and J.B. Thompson 83.

Bucknell will be paired with Wayne State and Saint Francis in Sunday's final round, with tee times ranging from 10:29-11:05 a.m. starting on hole No. 1.
