LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell men's lacrosse team was ranked in the final national polls of the 2018 campaign.

The Bison, who finished 11-4 overall and captured a share of the Patriot League regular-season title, checked in at No. 16 in the Inside Lacrosse Maverik Media Listing and No. 17 in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Coaches' Poll.

Bucknell shared the 2018 Patriot League regular-season title with No. 5/5 Loyola and Navy and reached the double digits in victories for the sixth time in Frank Fedorjaka's tenure as head coach. Most notably, the Bison knocked off eventual national champion Yale (9-8 OT) and Loyola (12-11) on the road. Since entering both polls on March 26, they rose as high as 10th in the USILA Coaches' Poll and the Maverik Media Listing, their best national ranking since the 2013 campaign.

Bucknell had two players honored as USILA All-Americans in Will Sands and Sean O'Brien. Sands became the eighth Bison to be voted to an All-America team, capturing a spot on the third team, while O'Brien earned honorable mention laurels. The duo was also voted to the All-Patriot League First Team while Benny Borgognone, Matt Gilray, Reed Malas and Connor O'Hara captured spots on the Second Team.

Fedorjaka was recognized as the Patriot League Coach of the Year for the third time in his career after guiding Bucknell to its ninth regular-season crown and first since 2011. The Bison's number of victories represented a six-win improvement from 2017, when they went 5-8 (3-5 Patriot League) and had their streak of consecutive Patriot League Tournament appearances snapped at 10 seasons. In 2018, Bucknell went an impressive 5-1 against nationally ranked opponents, including 2-0 against top-10 teams.
