STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Bridget Wilcox and Ellie McGuire both kept up their strong play at the Nittany Lion Invitational, leading the Bucknell women's golf team to a 315 team tally in Saturday's second round at the Penn State Blue Course. Wilcox posted a 3-over-par 75 and is +5 for the tournament, tied for 14th place. 

Wilcox and McGuire both scored in the 70s for the second straight day. After opening with a 74 on Friday, Wilcox carded two birdies, 11 pars and five bogeys in round two. She is seven strokes off the individual lead, as three players sit at 2-under for the tournament.

McGuire fired her second straight 78. Her round included birdies at holes 12 and 15. Also for the Bison on Saturday, Meghan Garanich shot 80, Lauren Bernard and Kasha Scott both posted 82s, and Emily Timmons shot 84.

Kent State logged an even-par 288 team score in the second round to sneak ahead of first-round leader Yale by one shot. Kent State is at 582 through 36 holes, followed by Yale at 583, Penn State at 591, Columbia at 600 and William & Mary at 605. Bucknell is in 13th place.

Sandy Wongwaiwate of Yale and the Kent State tandem of Josee Doyon and Jennifer Ha all sit atop the individual leaderboard at 2-under 142. Lilette Mocio of Columbia had the round of the day, a 3-under 69. 

Bucknell also has three first-year players competing as individuals this weekend. Callie Nelson's 81 led that trio on Saturday. Emily Larson posted an 87 and Nicole Mischler 89.

The thrid and final round begins Sunday at 9 a.m.
