STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Senior Bridget Wilcox capped off a top-20 finish at the Nittany Lion Invitational with a final-round 77 on Sunday at the Penn State Blue Course. Wilcox posted rounds of 74-75-77 for a 10-over-par total of 226 over 54 holes, good for a T-17th finish.

Bucknell compiled a 319 team total in the final round and finished in 13th place, seven strokes ahead of Rutgers. Kent State began the day with a one-shot lead over Yale, and the Golden Flashes finished with a 291 to outpace the Bulldogs by four strokes. Host Penn State finished third.

Including a birdie at the par-3 17th, Wilcox was 1-over on the back nine on the day. This weekend's performance capped a terrific four-year showing for Wilcox at the Nittany Lion Invitational. She recorded a 77.4 average in 10 career rounds on this course, including a school-record 69 back in 2010.

Also scoring in the 70s for the Bison on Sunday was Emily Timmons, who made three birdies en route to a 78, her best of the weekend. Timmons started her day on the 17th hole and joined Wilcox in the birdie column there. That continued a trend of strong starts for Timmons this weekend. On her first three holes of each round, she was a combined 2-under par.

Also for Bucknell on Sunday, Kasha Scott posted an 81, Ellie McGuire and Lauren Bernard both carded 83s, and Meghan Garanich finished with an 89. The Bison also had three first-year players competing as individuals. Callie Nelson completed a strong finish with a career-best 80, while Emily Larson and Nicole Mischler both had 85s.

Bucknell will be back in action Oct. 14-15 at the Rutgers Invitational.
