MORGANTON, N.C. -- Zach Pogust led Bucknell with a 2-over-par 72 and the Bison posted a 295 team score in the final round of the Donald Ross Intercollegiate at Mimosa Hills Country Club on Tuesday. Bucknell, the only team from north of the Mason-Dixon line in the field, finished in 13th place.

Pogust had a birdie-bogey exchange on holes 7 and 8, and then he proceeded to close out the day with 10 consecutive pars en route to the 72. Pogust's 54-hole total of 217 was the best on the team and put him in a tie for 37th place individually.

Schuyler Stitzer and Zachary Melnick both shot 74. Melnick, a freshman who made a travel roster for the first time in his career, carded three birdies and finished behind Pogust and Stitzer as Bucknell's No. 3 man for the week.

D.J. Magee, another first-year player and Bucknell's third lefthander in the lineup this week, started off his final round with a birdie at No. 1 and finished with a 75. Peter Scialabba shot 79.

Wofford held off a final-round charge from Davidson and won the team-title by two shots. Wofford was 20-under as a team entering the final round and finished at 16-under 824. Davidson closed with a 276 to finish at 14-under. Elon had the low total of the day with a 272 and finished in third place at even-par for the tournament.

Ryan Fricker of Bethune-Cookman and George Perkovich of Wofford shared the individual lead at 8-under 202. Todd Ecksein of Davidson was third at 7-under. Tuesday's low round was a 64 from Elon's Jeff Krieger. He was one of 20 players in the field finishing at even-par or better for the week.
