KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. -- Lauren Bernard and Bridget Wilcox were in the midst of excellent second rounds when play was suspended due to darkness Sunday evening at the Palmetto Invitational at Turtle Point Golf Club. Bucknell shot 320 as a team in Sunday's opening round and is on pace to better that score in round two, which will resume on Monday morning prior to the regularly scheduled third and final round.

As darkness fell, Bernard was 1-over par and Wilcox was 2-over in round two. Both have five holes remaining. Wilcox shot 77 in the opening round, making a birdie, 11 pars and nothing worse than bogey. In round two Wilcox was 2-under through nine holes before a double-bogey at the par-4 11th took her out of red numbers.

Bernard shot 81 in the morning, but she got hot in the afternoon. Starting on No. 18, she opened with a birdie followed by five straight pars. The run ended with a bogey at No. 6,  but she got that stroke back with a birdie two holes later. Bernard was still 1-under on her round through 12 holes of play, but she doubled her final hole before play was called for the night.

Emily Timmons started her day with a 79 and is 9-over in round two. Kasha Scott is 7-over after a morning 83.

The Bison are tied for 16th place in a very strong 19-team field, which includes four teams ranked in the top 50 nationally. When play was suspended No. 39 Kansas had a three-shot lead over No. 42 College of Charleston. No. 36 Illinois is seven shots off the lead.

Bucknell is four shots behind Michigan for 15th place. The Bison are tied with Eastern Michigan and lead former Big South rival Charleston Southern and Missouri State.

The second round will resume at 8:30 a.m. Monday, with the final 18 holes to begin immediately after.  Live scoring is available at
