Bison Begin Play at Wildcat Invitational

MALVERN, Pa. -- D.J. Magee posted a second-round 76 on a windy day at White Manor Country Club, but the Bison have some catching up to do after 36 holes of Villanova's Wildcat Invitational. Bucknell turned in rounds of 329 and 319 and sit in 16th place with one round still to come on Tuesday morning. 

Magee shot 79-76 and fellow freshman John Edler also posted two rounds in the 70s with 79-77. Also for the Bison, Nick Geissler shot 84-85, Zachary Melnick shot 89-81 and Billy Wright had rounds of 87-91. 

Five teams could not finish their second rounds before darkness set in. Youngstown State was one of them, but the Penguins had a nine-shot lead over Columbia when play was halted. Army and Drexel are tied for third, and Butler and Binghamton are tied for fifth.

Christopher Crawford of Drexel was 1-under through 32 holes when darkness fell, and he has a two-shot lead Peter Kim of Army.
