Men's Tennis Announces Class of 2018
Release:   05/30/2014

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell men’s tennis team recently announced the addition of the three-member class of 2018 to its roster for the fall of 2014, and the trio of talented incoming freshmen is expected to have an immediate impact on the up-and-coming program.

Joining the Bison in 2014 will be Ben Gerber (Chapel Hill, N.C./East Chapel Hill High School), Max Kane (Newtown Square, Pa./The Episcopal Academy) and Dan Wright (Upper Saddle River, N.J./Saddle River Day School).

“I believe all three of these guys are going to come in and help take the program to another level instantly,” commented head coach Craig Schwartz on his first recruiting class. “They will have an immediate impact in both the singles and doubles lineup. All of them will prove to be valuable pieces to the puzzle next season and will help to give us more depth in the lineup. I feel that the sky is the limit for these talented players.”

Below is a closer look at the Bucknell men’s tennis class of 2018:

Schwartz on Kane: “Max is a big kid with a very aggressive all-court game. He is very steady from the baseline and also has solid volleys. I believe that his serve will be a huge weapon for him and will help him win many free points. I look forward to seeing Max really develop his game here at Bucknell.”
