LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Bucknell women’s water polo team wrapped up its California trip with an 8-4 loss at No. 15 Long Beach State Thursday at Lindgren Aquatics Center. The Bison finish their spring break trip with a 4-3 record.

Four different Bison scored in the game, including Shyla Lintz, Sarah Mooney, Colleen Barron and Marta Considine. Barron and Considine handed out assists in the contest.

The two teams traded one goal in the opening period, but the 49ers scored twice in the second quarter to hold a 3-2 halftime lead.

Long Beach State (8-7) scored two more goals in the third period and three more in the fourth to improve to 8-0 all-time against the Bison.

Bucknell (11-11) returns to action Apr. 1-2, resuming conference play at Kinney Natatorium with matches against George Washington (Apr. 1), Princeton (Apr. 1), Saint Francis (Apr. 2) and Michigan (Apr. 2).
