Geffert Named Patriot League Rookie of the Week
Raeanne Geffert was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week after going 2-1 in three appearances in non-conference games this week. The freshman allowed 11 hits and just one earned run in 15.1 innings in the circle in games against Saint Francis and Robert Morris. In the first game against RMU, she tallied a three-hit 8-0 shutout in five innings and then allowed just one hit in the final 2.1 innings of game two to collect the win. For the week, Geffert faced 59 batters, allowed 11 hits, struck out nine, walked two, and recorded a 0.46 ERA.
