LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Eight of the 11 members of the Bucknell men's golf team qualified for the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, the league office announced today. The Bison led all Patriot League schools with the eight selections, two more than Lafayette and Lehigh with six each.
Led by a team-best 3.89 grade-point average from senior biology major Zachary Melnick, the Bison posted a strong 3.37 combined GPA for the spring semester. Also on the list is sophomore J.P. Raftery, the 2016 and 2017 Patriot League Championship runner-up and a member of this year's five-man Academic All-Patriot League Team.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.
