Having amassed an impressive record as an assistant coach at Lewisburg Area High School, Amiee Baylor joined Bucknell’s staff prior to the 2013-14 season.
Baylor spent 16 years guiding Lewisburg to more than a few accolades. During her time with the school, the Green Dragons went undefeated in dual meets for 16 years and amassed nine district titles, two state runner-up team finishes and five more top-five finishes at the state meet. As the sprints, jumps and relays coach, Baylor saw three 4x100 relays and three 4x800 relays earn gold medals at the state championships. She also coached multiple individual state champions in the hurdles and 800 meters as well as five-time state medalist and eventual Bucknell alum Kalle James-Wintjen at Lewisburg.
A graduate of Lewisburg Area High School, Baylor placed eighth in the 400 at the state meet during her own interscholastic career. She continued to race at Bloomsburg University where her 1,500-meter record stood for 16 years. Baylor graduated from Bloomsburg in 1994 with a degree in health science and a minor in history. She now lives in Lewisburg with her husband, Chris, and children, Blake Ann and Davis.
