LEWISBURG, Pa. – Led by two victories apiece by Brian Phillips and Erik Heinemann the Bucknell men’s swimming and diving team won all 11 events en route to a 149-92 victory over Binghamton Sunday afternoon at Kinney Natatorium. It was the final home meet of the season for the Bison, who improved to 6-3 and bounced back from a Saturday loss at Army.

Phillips won the 500 and 1,000 freestyle races, while Heinemann’s victories came in the 200 free and 200 fly. Steve Grune (50 free), Mike Nicholson (200 IM), Matt Hadley (100 free), Jack Robinson (200 back) and Ben Seketa (200 breast) rounded out the list of individual Bison winners. The 400 medley relay of Robinson, Seketa, Nicholson and Grune opened the meet with a victory, while the 200 free relay of Grune, Hadley, Heinemann and Daniel Wallace capped the meet with a win for Bucknell.

Phillips teamed with runner-up Collin Greene and Jeff Shanley for a 1-2-3 sweep of the 1,000 free. Shanley also placed third in the 500 free behind Phillips.

Heinemann was one of three Bison to finish in the top four of the 200 free, while he was the only Bucknell swimmer in the top four of the 200 fly.

In addition to his victory in the 200 IM, Nicholson had a third-place showing in the 100 free behind Hadley. Hadley had a third-place finish in the 50 free to go along with his win.
