Women's Lax Falls at Duquesne 16-5

PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- Clare Hurley scored five goals and Caitlin Prince added four to lift Duquesne to a 16-5 win over Bucknell on Tuesday evening at chilly Rooney Field. Maddy Molinari scored twice for the Bison, but the 8-1 Dukes ran out to an 11-2 halftime lead and held on from there. 

Bucknell got early goals from Katelyn Miller and Emily Becker and trailed just 3-2 after 12 minutes of play. But Duquesne ran off 11 straight goals, starting with a Morgan Matz tally with 17:22 left in the first half. 

Molinari scored both of her goals in the second half, and Cori Thielemann added her first goal of the season. Christina Manis and Emily Kookogey handed out assists for the Bison (0-10). 

Duquesne outshot Bucknell 27-16 and held a 15-8 edge in draw controls. 

The Bison return home to face American in a Patriot League game this Saturday at 1 p.m.
