LEWISBURG, Pa. – Fresh off a First Team All-Southern Division selection last week, Bucknell women’s water polo sophomore Hannah Sunday (Carlisle, Pa./Cumberland Valley) was named to the CWPA Championship All-Tournament Second Team this past weekend. The two-year starter at center scored three goals, totaled two steals and drew 22 ejections in the Bison’s three games en route to a 1-2 record and a sixth-place finish.
Sunday is Bucknell’s first All-Tournament Team selection at the CWPA Championship since Kandis Canonica in 2011.
Sunday drew 22 of the Bison’s 34 ejections over the weekend, including a career-high nine against both Hartwick and Brown. She finished the year with a program-record 120 ejections drawn and her 169 career ejections drawn place her fourth on that ledger halfway through her tenure. Sunday posted 12 different games with at least five ejections drawn this season.
A starter in all 27 games this year, Sunday ranked second on the team with 33 goals this year, while her 38 points placed her fourth. She has 69 goals and 77 points in her Bison career.
Bucknell, which hosted this past weekend’s CWPA Championship, finished the 2014 campaign 13-14 overall. The Bison faced eight ranked teams.
