LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell wrestling program has been named a finalist for the 2013-14 Best of Brand Masterful Mission Award, the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA), in coordination with Elite Level Sport Marketing (ELSM), announced Tuesday. The Bison are one of 12 finalists for the award, which recognizes the program that best branded itself during the season via social network sites.

Bucknell was honored along with Duke, Grand View, Iowa State, North Carolina State, Ouachita Baptist, Princeton, Simpson College, South Dakota State, Ohio State, North Carolina and Wabash.

From the list of finalists, three will be named as top programs at the NWCA Convention in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, this August. The winner will be honored at a Best of Brand breakfast that focuses on highlighting the unique branding efforts implemented by programs.

Bucknell posted a 10-11 overall mark and a 5-4 record against EIWA opponents in 2013-14. The Bison had two NCAA qualifiers and Joe Stolfi became the program’s third EIWA champion, winning the 285-pound weight class.
