LEWISBURG, Pa. – Victoria Catharine (Burnt Hills, New York/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) and Jennifer Fish (Boston, Massachusetts/Thayer Academy), both seniors on the Bucknell women’s rowing team, were named Lightweight All-Americans by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) this week. Catharine and Fish were members of the Bison lightweight eight that recently placed third in the Grand Final at the IRA National Championship Regatta. Catharine rowed in the stroke seat, while Fish was in the five seat of the boat.
Bucknell has now had 11 different student-athletes combine for 13 Lightweight All-America certificates since 2007. The Bison have had at least one honoree eight consecutive years.
A four-year member of the lightweight eight, Catharine rowed with the Patriot League-winning varsity four at the 2012 league championships as a sophomore. She recently graduated with a neuroscience degree.
Fish is a three-time CRCA National Scholar-Athlete who was also a four-year member of the lightweight eight. She graduated from Bucknell as a biology major.
Both veterans were first-time Lightweight All-Americans.
