Women's Track & Field Leads League with 52 Selections to PL Academic Honor Roll
Release:   06/25/2014

LEWISBURG, Pa.  – The Bucknell women’s track and field team placed 52 student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll at the conclusion of the 2014 campaign, leading the conference for the eighth consecutive season. The Bison had 19 more selections than any other program in the Patriot League, and six student-athletes achieved a 4.0 GPA for the spring semester. Additionally, seniors Emily Waksmunski, Alyssa Cardillo, Hana Casalnova, Chelsea Lodato and Laura Lutzker were among the 13 student-athletes to receive spots on the Academic Honor Roll in each of their four collegiate seasons.

This year’s honor roll is comprised of 248 student-athletes representing the league’s ten women’s track and field programs. Bucknell led the way with its 52 selections, followed by Lehigh (33), Boston University (29), Lafayette (28), Loyola (24), Holy Cross (22), Navy (20), Army (17), Colgate (15) and American (8).

To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League’s winter or spring championship sports.
