LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Bucknell head cross country/track and field coach Kevin Donner has announced the prorgam's newest recruiting class. The Bison men's team welcomes 13 student-athletes for the 2014-15 campaign, while the women's squad adds a large class of 25 newcomers. The latest recruits will look to boost an already successful Bucknell unit that won numerous Patriot League championships throughout its history.

"We feel very good about this incoming class both athletically and academically," said Donner. "We were able to reinforce a few areas that needed some help and enhance a few areas where we were already strong. I have a belief that you cannot evaluate a recruiting class until two years later because a lot can happen physically and emotionally. However, on paper I would rank it as one of our strongest and deepest classes for the women. The men's class may not be as deep, but we did get some high-quality athletes who will meet our needs right away."

Since the Patriot League's inception as an all-sports league in 1990-91, the Bison men's and women's cross country and track and field teams have combined for 51 team championships and 53 second-place finishes. The following first-year student-athletes will be looking to continue that championship tradition.
