MORGANTON, N.C. -- Jubal Early shot a 1-over-par 71, and Connor O'Brien and Ashton Radvansky followed with 72s to help the Bucknell men's golf team to a 289 closing score Tuesday at the Donald Ross Invitational at Mimosa Hills Golf Club. The Bison finished with a total of 869, a season best for 54 holes, and finished in seventh place.

Bucknell also counted a 74 from freshman Peter Bradbeer and threw out a 75 from D.J. Magee. O'Brien was low Bison for the week with an 8-over 218, which put him in a tie for 19th place. Radvansky and Early finished T-21st at 219.

Early had three birdies and four bogeys en route to his 1-over 71 in Tuesday's final round. Radvansky made a team-high five birdies, and a triple-bogey at the par-4 16th prevented him from finishing in red numbers.

After posting 281-281 on Monday, High Point finished off a wire-to-wire victory with a 289 final round. At 851 total, the Panthers outlasted tournament host Appalachian State by four shots. Pfeiffer placed third at 863.

Pfeiffer's Zach Weaver walked away with the individual crown with a 6-under 204 (70-66-68). Chance Watson of Appalachian State was second at -1.

Bucknell has one more fall tournament remaining: the Lehigh Invitational on Oct. 21-22 at Saucon Valley Country Club. The Bison will be looking to defend their 2015 title in that even.
