LEWISBURG, Pa. – American continued its winning streak in the Patriot League on Saturday, posting a 3-0 win over Bucknell in volleyball action at Davis Gym. The Eagles improved to 20-6 overall and 10-0 in the conference with wins of 25-9, 25-13, 25-14, while the Bison fell to 4-18 overall and 2-8 in league play.

Bucknell celebrated Senior Day prior to the match, honoring Keane Brazda, Erika Eastley, Rebecca Forbes, Kristen Parks, and Jordan Walker.

American has now won 30 straight Patriot League matches. Aleksandra Kazala led the way with 14 kills and seven digs. Shannon Webb just missed a double-double with nine kills and 11 digs. Kennedy Etheridge led the team with 31 assists and contributed two of the team’s seven aces.

Freshman Mimi Richards had an efficient night for Bucknell, tallying a team-high six kills on 12 attacks for a .417 hitting percentage. Jordan Walker matched her team-high of six kills and added five digs. Forbes led all Bison players with eight digs.

Bucknell returns to action on Friday night when it hosts Lehigh. The match is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Davis Gym. Six matches, all against league opponents, remain on the schedule.
