About the Bison
* Bucknell will be sending Will Bordash, Drew Dorflinger, Luke Giugliano, Ross Pirnie, Ben Siciliano, Jacob Stupak, Chad Sussman, Louis Tobias and Zach Williams to the Mid-Atlantic Regional.
>> Bucknell returns to action after competing at the Patriot League Championships on Oct. 29 at Lafayette’s Metzgar Athletic Fields Complex.
>> The Bison finished fifth of 10 teams at the league championship with a score of 87. Navy won the team title for the fourth consecutive season, finishing with a score of 23. Army West Point was the runner-up with a total of 79, followed by Boston University (83) and Lehigh (86).
>> Bordash was the Bison’s top runner, finishing in 10th-place with a time of 25:15, earning All-Patriot League honors.
>> Giugliano finished 15th in the course, missing all-league status by one spot. Freshmen Dorflinger and Stupak turned in a strong showing, placing 18th and 19th, respectively, in the field of 106 runners.
>> The Bison had an opportunity to run at Penn State's Blue/White Golf Courses at the Penn State Nationals on Oct. 14. Bucknell finished 12th in a talented field of 16 teams, which featured nationally ranked teams including Oklahoma State, Ole Miss and Virginia.
>> Giugliano finished 30th in a field of 144 runners at the race, followed by Dorflinger (69th), Bordash (70th), Pirnie (72nd) and Stupak (78th).
NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional
>> Bucknell finished 10th out of 25 teams at last year’s NCAA race, placing in the top 10 for the second straight season. Giugliano was the top runner for Bucknell, taking 47th in a field of 174 competitors. Bordash finished 72nd, followed by Pirnie in 78th.
>> The Bison will compete against Patriot League schools, Lehigh, Loyola and Navy.
>> There are several nationally ranked teams in the field, including No. 22 Georgetown and No. 28 Penn.
