LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell volleyball landed a player on the Academic All-Patriot League Team for the sixth time in seven years as junior Hailey Stout received the honor on Thursday. The seven-player team, which is voted on by the league’s sports information directors, had players from seven different teams.
Stout, who earns the academic award for the first time during her career, carries a 3.66 GPA as a markets, innovation and design major. She has been on the Dean’s List twice and is a two-time member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
A versatile player, Stout ranked third for the Bison in kills (188), total blocks (51) and digs (217). She has finished in the top three on the team in both kills and digs in each of her three seasons at Bucknell.
Stout will enter her senior season with a chance to eclipse 1,000 career digs and 800 kills. She currently has 764 digs and 630 kills.
Bucknell has had an Academic All-Patriot League selection in each of the past two seasons with Karen Campbell receiving the honor in 2015. Other Bucknell players to earn the award were Rachel Rodriguez (2010), Anne Ellenberger (2011), and Jessica Serrato (2012, 2013).
