LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell men’s soccer team placed two members of its senior class on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Northeast Team. Striker Sebastiaan Blickman and defensive anchor Zack Rockmore received Third Team honors, earning All-Region recognition for the first time in their careers.
Earlier this fall, Blickman received Second Team All-Patriot League honors, while Rockmore was a First Team All-Patriot League selection. Bucknell has now claimed at least one All-Region player in 15 consecutive years under head coach Brendan Nash.
Blickman was one the Patriot League’s most dynamic offensive players in 2016. Blickman, who also earned Academic All-Patriot League honors this fall, led Bucknell and the conference in points (26) and goals (11). He will graduate with 47 career points on 19 goals and nine assists in 76 games played.
Rockmore was one of league’s top center backs following his arrival to Lewisburg. The 2016 Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Rockmore was a fixture in the Bison lineup this fall, leading the team in minutes for the second straight season. The senior also proved to be an asset on offense, recording three goals. Rockmore will graduate having played in 51 games, all of which he started, posting seven goals and two assists for 16 points.
The Bison finished 7-11-3 overall and 4-4-1 in the Patriot League. Bucknell qualified for the Patriot League Tournament as the No. 5 seed, knocking off fourth-seeded Boston University in penalty kicks in the quarterfinals before falling to top-seeded American in double overtime in the Patriot League Tournament Semifinals.
