Bucknell Athletics BIO
 AJ Kizekai

Former Bison football team captain AJ Kizekai returned to Lewisburg in December 2016 to begin his tenure as assistant athletic director for operations and events at Bucknell. A member of the Patriot League 25th Anniversary Football Team, Kizekai graduated in 2010 and spent time in operations roles at Rhode Island, George Washington and Brown before his return to Bucknell.

Kizekai, who was a First Team All-Patriot League selection as a return specialist three times and was once a Second Team All-League choice as a running back, ended his career with nearly every kickoff return and all-purpose yard mark in the Bison record book. He still owns the records for most returns in a career (109) and yards (2,725). Additionally, he holds Bucknell records for most yards in a season (1,113) and game (210) as well as the longest return (100).

Kizekai, who registered six plays of at least 70 yards in his career, was sixth in Patriot League history and second at Bucknell in career all-purpose yards (5,536) at the time of his graduation.

In addition to being a stellar return man, Kizekai was a versatile player out of the backfield. He finished his career with 1,638 rushing yards and 1,159 receiving yards. He also scored a total of 20 touchdowns in his 38 games played.

Following his graduation from Bucknell, Kizekai spent two years as the assistant athletic director at his prep school alma mater, Blair Academy. He then transitioned to the college level, spending the summer of 2013 as an athletic development and marketing intern at Rhode Island, where his major focus was planning the men’s basketball golf outing.

In 2013-14, Kizekai moved to Washington, D.C., and spent a year at George Washington, first as an athletic operations intern and later as an operations manager.

The last two years of Kizekai’s professional career have been at Brown. In 2014-15, Kizekai was a marketing and promotions intern with the Bears. He then moved up to an athletic facilities and operations coordinator beginning in July 2015.

Kizekai has also earned some valuable experience as a marketing and promotions assistant for the 2015 NCAA East Regional Ice Hockey Championship and as a media assistant for the 2016 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship First and Second Rounds.

At Bucknell, Kizekai’s main responsibilities are facility scheduling and game management.
