LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell men’s track and field team placed two student-athletes on the Academic All-Patriot League team, announced by the league on Wednesday. The Bison are represented by junior Kyle Adams and senior Luke Giugliano on the 11-member squad.

Adams earns Academic All-Patriot League honors for the first time in his career. An economics major, Adams has made the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll in each of his three seasons at Bucknell. He earned a perfect 4.0 grade-point average in the fall.

Adams helped a 4x800-meter relay team reach the podium at the Patriot League Indoor Championships, taking third with a time of 7:33.13, the fifth-fastest relay performance in school history.

Giugliano earns his third Academic All-Patriot League citation. A mechanical engineering major, Giugliano has made the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll in each of his four years as a Bison. Last year, he became the first Bison since David Mante in 2008 to earn CoSIDA Academic All-America accolades.

At the league championships, Giugliano scored in the 3,000m and 5,000m events, setting personal-records in each race.

Bucknell has now been represented on the Academic All-Patriot League Team for the seventh consecutive year, earning at least two spots for the sixth time.

Adams and Giugliano are among a Bison contingent that will be traveling back to Boston to compete in the IC4A Indoor Championships on Mar. 4-5.
