SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Bucknell women’s water polo team wrapped up play at the Aztec Invitational Sunday with a 10-4 loss to No. 16 San Diego State. The Bison finish the first leg of their California trip with a 2-2 record.

Tegan Stanbach scored three goals in the contest, while Gigi Rojahn posted one goal.

Bucknell (9-10) scored the game’s first goal in the opening quarter. The Aztecs (9-7) countered with nine straight goals and outscored the Bison 10-3 to win their fifth straight match.

Hayley Pogue made her first collegiate start in goal, recording six saves.

Bucknell returns to action Wednesday (Mar. 15) with contests against Pomona-Pitzer and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps
