About Bucknell
-- After having its midweek game at Villanova postponed due to a snowstorm, the Bison will look to dig out from under a four-game losing streak when it travels to Boston on Saturday to face one of the hottest teams in the nation in Boston University.

-- Bucknell jumped out to a 2-0 start with a pair of one-goal wins over Delaware and Bryant, but then a one-goal loss to Fairfield ignited this four-game skein. The Bison have dropped Patriot League encounters to Colgate, Navy and Holy Cross.

-- Sean O'Brien scored three goals, and Will Sands had two goals and two assists in last Saturday's 10-8 loss to Holy Cross. The Bison led 8-6 early in the fourth quarter, but the Crusaders finished the game on a 4-0 run and defeated Bucknell for the first time in 28 all-time meetings.

-- Sands is Bucknell's top point-producer with 29 points on nine-goals and 20 assists. He ranks second in the Patriot League in both goals and points, behind only Loyola's Pat Spencer (10-23-33). Sands also ranks third nationally in assists, behind only Connor Fields of Albany and Spencer.

-- O'Brien's 19 goals are the most in the league, two better than Lehigh's Andrew Pettit. He also ranks ninth nationally in goals per game. Connor O'Hara ranks No. 3 in the league with 15 goals. O'Brien also leads the conference with four man-up goals.

-- As a team, the Bison have excelled at keeping control of the ball, as their 11.5 turnovers per game are the fewest in the Patriot League and 10th-fewest in the nation.

-- Sands enters the game with 135 career points on 71 goals and 64 assists. Only a junior, Sands needs just eight more points to jump into the top 10 in Bucknell history. His 64 assists rank ninth all-time, one behind Tom Walther for the No. 8 spot.

Scouting Boston University
-- At 7-0, the Terriers are one of only five unbeaten teams remaining in the country, and they are already within one victory of the school single-season record.

-- Last time out, Boston University routed Colgate 18-7, scoring 14 straight goals to take an early 14-1 lead.

-- The Terriers have been stout defensively, allowing only 7.0 goals per game to rank fourth nationally. Opponents are shooting only 18.7 percent this season, with goalie Christian Carson-Bannister sporting a steller .647 save percentage and 6.52 goals-against average.

-- Cal Dearth leads the team in goals (14), assists (9) and points (23).

Series History with Boston University
-- The Bison are 2-1 against Boston University since the school launched a varsity lacrosse program in 2014. The home teams have won all three contests, with Bucknell winning in Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium in 2014 (7-3) and 2016 (13-6). The Terriers won 11-9 in Boston in 2015.

-- In last year's game, Sands scored all four of his goals after halftime, and the Bison outscored 16th-ranked Boston University 9-2 over the final 30 minutes in a 13-6 victory at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium. Bucknell trailed 4-2 in the second quarter before drawing even at the half on two tracers by Tommy O'Connor. Sands then took over, posting a natural hat trick in the third quarter followed by a goal and an assist in the final three minutes to help the Bison put the game away.

Up Next
-- Bucknell will make up that game at Villanova this Tuesday at 4 p.m., and then Loyola comes to Lewisburg on Saturday in a game that will be televised on the American Sports Network.
