BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Marta Considine scored a game-high five goals and Colleen Barron added three goals as the Bucknell women's water polo team defeated Brown 10-7 Saturday afternoon at the CWPA Championship. The seventh-seeded Bison advanced to Sunday's fifth-place game, while the sixth-seeded Bears will play in Sunday's seventh-place game.

Bucknell (14-17), who suffered an 8-7 loss to Brown three weeks ago, scored five goals in each half. The Bison defense held Brown (19-10) scoreless through the first 8:51 of the match. Manuela Herrera made the start in cage, posting seven saves.

The Bison led 5-2 at halftime and 9-4 through three periods.

Tegan Stanbach and Emily Konishi each posted one goal and one assist. Bucknell was a perfect 4-for-4 in sprints.

With a win on Sunday against Indiana or Saint Francis (pending outcome of Saturday's evening game), Bucknell will finish fifth for the second straight season and the second time since 2010.

Sunday's fifth-place game is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.
