LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Bucknell junior co-captain Eve Lukowski has been named to the Academic All-Patriot League Women's Lacrosse Team, the league office announced Wednesday. Lukowski, who was the 2016 Scholar-Athlete of the Year, is a member of the 12-person All-Academic Team for the second straight year.
A managing for sustainability major with a near-perfect 3.95 cumulative grade-point average, Lukowski has been a mainstay on the Bison attack unit. After a breakout sophomore year in which she led the team with 65 points on 33 goals and 32 assists -- just the second 30-30 season in team history -- Lukowski was set back a bit by a knee injury this season.
The Ellicott City, Maryland native appeared in 12 of the team's 17 games and was on a similar scoring pace prior to the injury. She had a 5-goal game in a win at Villanova and recorded two goals and five assists for seven points in a win over Wagner.
Lukowski finished the year with 21 points on 12 goals and nine assists. She will begin her senior year with an even 100 career points from 51 goals and 49 assists. The assist total is sixth-highest in school history.
Bucknell finished 9-8 in 2017 and returned to the Patriot League Tournament for the second year in a row.
