LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell baseball team placed 12 student-athletes on the 2017 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, announced by the league on Thursday. A total of 72 Patriot League baseball players were honored across the six teams in the league.

Bucknell had two players with perfect 4.0 grade-point averages, including Jeff Gottesman, an Academic All-Patriot League selection, and Alex Salem.

Bison pitcher Tommy Gambon was one of four baseball student-athletes named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll for a fourth consecutive year.

To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.
