LEWISBURG, Pa. – Junior Mishi Papich and freshman Rachel Carroll advanced to the championship match of their respective flights as the Bison women’s tennis team competed on the second day of the Bucknell Fall Invite on Saturday at the Varsity Courts. The doubles team of sophomore Jill Auteri and junior Danielle Gannon will also vie for a title when play concludes on Sunday.

Papich cruised to the final round in Flight 2 with a 6-0, 6-0 win in the semifinals. She will take on Howard’s Nicole Hutchison for the title.

Carroll will also play a Howard player when she battles Yassmine Khiri in the championship match of Flight 3 on Sunday. The Bucknell freshman is off to a great start to her collegiate career, advancing with a 6-4, 6-1 win in the semifinals.

Auteri and Gannon teamed up for a 6-2 win in a semifinal match of Flight 2 doubles. They are set to play Lafayette’s Alexa Cooke and Katie Hill in the final.
