LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Junior midfielder Carly Baggott and sophomore goalkeeper Dani Kaufman were two of the catalysts in Bucknell's 1-0 road victory over Lafayette on Saturday, and both received honors on Monday for their good work. Kaufman was selected as the Corvias Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week, while Baggott was named the Bison Athlete of the Week.

Kaufman, who is in her first year as Bucknell's starter after serving as the understudy to Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year Jessica Ratner last season, made all three of her saves in the second half at Lafayette to secure her second straight clean sheet. Kaufman extended her scoreless streak to 198 minutes, and in four games in the month of September she has played to a 0.49 goals-against average and an .889 save percentage.

The efforts of Kaufman and the Bison defense were rewarded in the 90th minute, when Baggott scored Bucknell's third dramatic game-winning goal in a span of 13 days. The Bison had just earned their 11th corner kick of the game as the clocked ticked inside one minute remaining in regulation. The Leopards headed away the initial service, but Meghan Holtz headed the ball back into traffic in the center of the penalty area. Baggott was the first to the ball, and she sent a turning shot along the ground into the back of the net with 45 seconds remaining.

It was Baggott's second career goal, with the other coming against Iona during her rookie season in 2015.

The victory gave Bucknell three big away points on the opening weekend of Patriot League play. The Bison are now 3-5 overall against a difficult schedule. They have a mid-week, non-conference game at home against Saint Francis (Pa.) on Wednesday before hosting American on Saturday at noon. The American game can be seen on the Patriot League Network at PatriotLeague.tv.
