LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell’s Hailey Stout was voted Academic All-Patriot League in volleyball for the second straight season, as announced with the release of the teams by the conference office on Thursday.
Joining Stout on the seven-player All-Academic Team were American’s Aleksandra Kazala and Kristen Largay, Colgate’s Peighton McRobie and Lauren Sanderson, Lehigh’s Megan Polak, and Navy’s Patricia Mattingly.
Stout is a markets, innovation, and design major with a 3.64 GPA. In addition to her two Academic All-Patriot League awards, she is a Dean’s List student and has earned a spot on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll every season for the Bison. She has also been active in groups outside of athletics, including the Finance Committee, Aspiring Leaders, and the Bucknell Social Media Club.
Stout is just the second Bucknell player to earn the academic award multiple times, joining Jessica Serrato (2012, 2013) as players to accomplish the feat. The honor was first given out in 2010. The Bison have had five players combine for seven appearances on the All-Academic Team, and have had a player make it on to the squad in each of the past three seasons. Karen Campbell started the run in 2015.
Bucknell went 14-14 overall and 8-8 in the Patriot League this season. Stout continued to be a versatile player for the Bison, finishing third on the team in both kills (184) and digs (204), and fourth in total blocks (47).
