LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell men's swimming & diving team placed four in the 'A' finals, while two relay teams finished in the top six, on the first day of the Bucknell Invitational.

Kevin Adams-Mardi was the top Bison finisher, taking third in the 50 freestyle with a time of 21.02. He also teamed with Charlie McFarland, Matt McGoey and Jimmy Rush for a fifth-place finish in the 200 freestyle relay (1:23.37).

Mitch Gavars (6th, 500 freestyle), McGoey (8th, 200 IM) and Garrett Sommer (8th, 1-meter dive) were Bucknell's other individuals who reached the 'A' finals.

Rush, Chadd Cummings, Jacob Lubinski and McFarland placed sixth in the 400 medley relay, clocking in at 3:25.82.

Defending champion Towson is the current leader in the team standings with 355 points. Georgetown (336) and La Salle (335.5) round out the top three. Bucknell currently sits in seventh (206.5).

The Bucknell Invitational continues tomorrow at Kinney Natatorium. Preliminaries begin at 10 a.m. with the finals following at 6 p.m. Live results can be found on BucknellBison.com.
