LEWISBURG, Pa. – Behind 17 top-eight finishes, the Bucknell women's swimming & diving team vaulted into second place at the end of the Bucknell Invitational's second day.

The Bison, who now have 920.5 points, moved from third to second. Defending champion Townson remained in first with 1,089 points.

Maggie Wyngowski (400 IM) and the 200 medley relay team of Emma Hadley, Leah Bloodgood, Lindsay Smalec and Abigail Rosenberg won titles.

Rosenberg added a runner-up finish in the 200 freestyle while Hadley touched the wall third in the 100 backstroke. Rosenberg also teamed with Emily Gorham, Katherine O'Shea and Mia Haggerty for a third-place finish in the 800 freestyle relay.

Bucknell's record book was rewritten significantly on Saturday at Kinney Natatorium. There were three new additions to the school annals and three improvements.

Wyngowski, who clocked in at 4:23.00 during the 400 IM's preliminaries, moved to fourth from seventh in school history. She also cracked the Bison top 10 in the 100 breaststroke, claiming the 10th spot (1:05.18).

Bloodgood vaulted to fourth from eighth in school history in the 100 breaststroke (1:04.10). Smalec improved her time in the 100 butterfly (55.37) but remained slotted in second on the Bucknell's list of top times.

With her time in the 200 freestyle's preliminaries (1:50.71), Gorham took fourth in school history. She, Bloodgood, Smalec and Hadley also claimed third in school history in the 200 medley relay (1:42.65).

The Bucknell Invitational concludes tomorrow at Kinney Natatorium. Preliminaries begin at 10 a.m. with the finals following at 5 p.m. Live results can be found on BucknellBison.com.
