This is Anderson's third All-America accolade and Pechin's first. Anderson, the 2017 Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year, was previously honored as a Second Team AP All-American and a Third Team College Sports Madness All-American.
Anderson and Pechin were among five Patriot League players selected as STATS All-Americans, joining Lehigh's Dom Bragalone (First Team) and Troy Pelletier (Second Team) and Lafayette's Brandon Bryant (Third Team).
Anderson totaled 42 tackles (20 solo), nine tackles for a loss, 2.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries, one interception and one blocked extra point this season. During his stalwart career, he started 43 games, recording 171 tackles (96 solo), 33.5 tackles for a loss, 15.5 sacks and four blocked kicks. Three of his four blocked kicks were field goals; he will graduate tied for first in school history with Josh Eden (2006-07, 2010-11) in this statistical category.
Earlier this off-season, Anderson became the third Bison to garner four All-Patriot League citations in his career, joining Rich Lemon (1993-96) and Julién Davenport (2013-16). He was honored on the 2017, 2016 and 2015 All-Patriot League First Teams and the 2014 Second Team. A three-time Preseason All-Patriot League selection, he was named to the 2017 STATS Preseason All-American Third Team and the 2018 Reese's Senior Bowl Watch List. He was also selected as the 2017 Brooks-Irvine Memorial Football Club's NCAA FCS Collegiate Player of the Year.
Pechin, the 2017 Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year, posted a punting average of 45.1 this season, shattering his own school record of 42.1 he set in 2015. His punting average was slotted third in the NCAA FCS at the conclusion of the regular season, and he captured All-Patriot League and All-ECAC First Team laurels on its strength.
Of Pechin's 72 punts, tied for the second-highest total in school history, 26 sailed for at least 50 yards, 34 fell inside the 20 and 22 went for fair catches. Also a 2015 All-Patriot League First Team selection, he holds Bucknell's record in career punting average (43.3) and was a finalist for the 2017 STATS FCS Doris Robinson Scholar-Athlete Award.
