University Park, Pa. – The Bucknell men’s track and field team concluded competition Saturday at the Penn State National Open at Ashenfelter III Indoor Track.

Alex Dessoye and Robert Dessoye placed fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 500-meter dash. Alex clocked in at 1:04.72, while Robert finished with a time of 1:04.98.

Sean Conway finished sixth in the 800m with an IC4A-qualifying time of 1:54.42. Nick Pacelli hit an IC4A-qualifying mark in the 1,000m, finishing in second place by clocking in at 2:29.78.

“It was a solid weekend, but the best part is getting some guys back who have been hurt or sick and have not competed in 2018. Dorflinger, Melchionni, and Conway are three of our better athletes who had their rust buster today, and we should see some big improvement over the next three weeks,” head coach Kevin Donner said.
