LEWISBURG, Pa. -- The Bucknell women's soccer team captured its second straight Patriot League championship this fall, but it was also a banner semester for the Bison academically. Coach Kelly Cook's team combined for a stellar 3.49 grade-point average, and 20 of the team's 27 student-athletes earned a spot on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, which was announced by the league office on Thursday.

To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 GPA during the semester of his/her sport's competition. Eighteen of Bucknell's 20 honorees blew past that minimum standard, also qualifying for the Dean's List with a 3.50 GPA or better. Heading the list for the Bison were seniors Karli Cirovski and Jackie Ham, who earned perfect 4.0s. It also includes senior Kendall Ham, the Patriot League Tournament MVP who garnered a spot on the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team for the second year in a row. She also joined Cirovski and Meghan Holtz on the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-Region Team.

All seven of the team's seniors qualified for the PL Academic Honor Roll. Bucknell's 20 awardees were third-most in the league, behind only Loyola and Lehigh with 23 each.
