LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell’s Lisa Jouravleva was named the season’s first Patriot League Women’s Tennis Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday. The senior helped the Bison start the season 3-0 for the first time since 2005 with wins over Niagara, St. Bonaventure, and La Salle.

Jouravleva went undefeated and didn’t drop a set in three wins at No. 1 singles. The senior beat Niagara’s Stella Peisakhova (6-4, 6-4), St. Bonaventure’s Gabriella Bowe (6-3, 6-0), and La Salle’s Brittany Poje (6-1, 6-4).

At No. 1 doubles, Jouravleva, who has now won five Patriot League Player of the Week awards during her career, teamed with sophomore Paige Leavy for a 2-1 record.

The Bison look to stay unbeaten when they travel to play Drexel on Friday at 11 a.m.
