ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Competing at the site of the upcoming Patriot League Championship, Bucknell senior Lindsay Dodovich tied for second place in a field of 58 players at the Navy Invitational, which wrapped up Saturday at the Naval Academy Golf Club.

In difficult scoring conditions, Dodovich posted rounds of 79 and 78 and was the only player in the field with two scores in the 70s. Her 157 total was just two off the pace set by Yale's Julie Luo. Jennifer Peng of Yale also shot 157.

As a team, the Bison finished in eighth-place with a 36-hole total of 688 (344-344).

While Dodovich positioned herself as a league title contender in two weeks, another positive development was the play of freshman Erin Holmes. She was competing as an individual this weekend, but she turned in a T-8th finish with rounds of 84-80.

Bucknell's other counters on Saturday were Anna Dailey with an 87, Katie Childers with an 89, and Casey Morrow with a 90.

After opening with a 316 on Friday, Yale finished with a 334 but still won the team title by seven shots over Towson. Quinnipiac finished third, followed by Navy, Monmouth, Central Connecticut, Lehigh, Bucknell and Delaware State. Towson's 324 was the best the field could manage on Saturday.

The Patriot League Championship will be hosted by Navy on Apr. 21-22.
