LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell football team wraps up its spring schedule with its annual Spring Game on Sunday, April 22 at 1 p.m.

Before the Spring Game, which will be held at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium, the Bison practiced 14 times in preparation for their 133rd season of competition.

"The spring is critical to the development of our team," said head coach Joe Susan. "It is an important time for our players to develop fundamentally and compete for positions. The research that our staff completed before the spring has enabled us to work on new things in all three phases of the game. The most rewarding thing about this spring is the energy that is evident every time our team is on the field. This is a special group, and I credit the student-athletes on our team and our coaches for making every minute count."

Susan will present the team's spring awards at the beginning of the Spring Game, which is open to the public and free of charge.

Nine of Bucknell's 2017 opponents are on its 2018 slate, with Villanova and Penn taking the place of Marist and Cornell. The full schedule release can be viewed here.

In 2017, the Bison went 5-6 (2-4 Patriot League), posting the Patriot League’s best nonconference winning percentage. They graduate 19 seniors, including nine regular starters and six of their eight 2017 all-Patriot League selections.
